Disclaimer

The disclaimer below describes the scope and limitations of the learning resources, helper software, digital cafe services, and certifications offered by Blind Tech Community.

1. Educational Information Disclaimer

Quick Summary: Our tutorials and classes are for training purposes. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee specific jobs or career outcomes.

All informational materials, video lessons, and developer guides published by the Blind Tech Community are designed for general educational purposes.

While we work to keep our class materials up-to-date and accurate, web technologies and software menus change rapidly. We make no representations or warranties of any kind regarding the completeness, accuracy, or suitability of the information for specific job placements or employment outcomes.

2. Assistive Tools & Screen Reader Links

Quick Summary: We provide instructions for screen readers like NVDA and JAWS, but we do not own or run those external applications.

Our learning guides frequently instruct students on how to configure third-party assistive technologies (such as NVDA, JAWS, TalkBack, and VoiceOver).

We do not own, develop, or sell these screen readers. We are not responsible for the performance, licensing fees, software bugs, or accessibility limitations of these third-party programs. Any configuration changes you apply are at your own discretion.

3. Android Apps & Gaming Software

Quick Summary: Installing our utility and game apps is voluntary. We build them to be highly accessible, but we are not liable for device issues.

Our community publishes specialized Android tools:

  • Daily Accessible Youthful Tools: Utility features, layout assists, and widgets.
  • VI-Games: Audio-tactile arcade games for visually impaired users.

While we check our release packages for safety and accessibility, installation is done at your own risk. We are not liable for any mobile storage failures, performance drops, or battery issues related to running these application environments.

4. Digital Cyber Cafe Help Desk

Quick Summary: Our cafe team provides advisory help with online paperwork. Double-checking details before submission is the applicant's responsibility.

Our Digital Cyber Cafe team assists visually impaired users with online application forms, paperwork submissions, and account setups.

Please note that this assistance is provided as an advisory service. It remains the applicant's final responsibility to verify that all details, numbers, documents, and form entries are correct before confirming submission. We are not responsible for application rejections or incorrect filings made by government or external portals.

5. Disability Verification and Eligibility

To allocate sponsorships, special resources, or access to free visual-assistance programs, we request Unique Disability ID (UDID) numbers or disability cards.

This auditing process is conducted in good faith. If any submitted certificates are found to be forged or invalid, we reserve the right to revoke cohort placements immediately.
