Blind Tech Community (BTC) was founded by Sandeep Kumar with the goal of empowering visually impaired individuals through technology, education, and career development. What started as a personal effort to help people navigate the digital world has grown into a large community that includes a mobile application, educational programs, technical support services, and accessibility-focused initiatives.

Our Journey

The Beginning
Sandeep Kumar became inspired by blind content creators who were successfully using screen readers and audio technology to share information online. This inspired him to explore accessible technology and help others do the same.

YouTube Channel Launch
He launched the "Sandeep Kumar Technical Hindi" YouTube channel. Despite many challenges, he continued creating content and received positive feedback from viewers.

Return to YouTube
After a break caused by technical difficulties, Sandeep returned to YouTube with renewed determination and commitment to serving the visually impaired community.

Interesting Tech for VI
Sandeep collaborated with Kuldeep Behera on the "Interesting Tech for VI" YouTube channel. Together they grew the channel to over one thousand subscribers, helping the visually impaired community learn about accessible technology.

Building the Community
Sandeep Kumar and other visually impaired content creators established the Blind Tech Community WhatsApp group. The aim was to bring people together on one platform where they could discuss technology, solve problems, and support each other. The community quickly became an active space where members could seek help, learn new skills, and connect with others facing similar challenges.

Apps & Accessibility Tools Launch
BTC launched the Blind Tech Community Android App — an all-in-one accessibility solution providing 35+ tools and features for visually impaired users. BTC also introduced BTC AI, an artificial intelligence assistant for faster information access. Additional features such as Type N Learn and Special News were developed to provide educational opportunities, job alerts, and government scheme information.

Helpline & Web Development Courses
BTC launched the BTC Helpline, a dedicated technical support service for visually impaired people in India. In September 2024, BTC also started Web Development courses to help visually impaired individuals learn programming and improve career opportunities.

Expanded Course Offerings
The educational offerings expanded to include Hindi Typing, English Typing, Acting, and Computer Basics courses — broadening career and skill development opportunities for the visually impaired community.

Blind Tech Community Android App
A comprehensive app containing a powerful suite of 35+ assistive tools and community learning resources designed specifically for eyes-free navigation. It includes BTC AI, Type N Learn, Special News, and many more features to support visually impaired users in their daily digital lives.

Future Vision
BTC is working toward becoming a registered NGO through a Section 8 company structure. This will allow the organization to expand its services and support more people across India and beyond.
